Jayco Family of Companies has announced several senior leadership promotions following a broader restructuring of THOR Industries’ North American RV operations.
- Nic Martin Named President and CEO of Jayco
- Ryan Eash Promoted to Vice President of Sales
- Brendon Gendel Takes Over Jayco Motorhome Group
- Mary Nally Named Vice President of Finance
- Devon Miller Promoted to Chief Operating Officer
- Part of a Broader THOR Industries Reorganization
- What the Changes Mean for Jayco
The changes come after former Jayco leaders Ken Walters, Mike Ritchie and Trey Miller moved into new leadership positions within THOR Industries’ North American RV operations.
As part of the transition, Jayco has promoted several long-time executives into key leadership roles across sales, finance, operations and its motorhome business.
Nic Martin Named President and CEO of Jayco
Nic Martin has been named president and chief executive officer of the Jayco Family of Companies.
Martin is a 10-year Jayco veteran and previously served as vice president of sales. He succeeds Ken Walters, who was recently appointed president of THOR Industries’ North American RV operations as part of the company’s organizational changes.
Martin said the promotions reflect Jayco’s approach of developing and preparing its internal leadership team.
“Part of Jayco’s corporate culture is ensuring we train and prepare future leaders for scenarios just like this,” Martin said.
Ryan Eash Promoted to Vice President of Sales
Ryan Eash has been promoted to vice president of sales.
Eash previously served as general manager of Jayco’s Motorhome Group. Before becoming general manager in 2022, he was director of product development.
His move into the vice president of sales position follows Martin’s transition from sales leadership into the company’s top executive role.
Brendon Gendel Takes Over Jayco Motorhome Group
With Eash moving into sales leadership, Brendon Gendel has been named general manager of the Motorhome Group.
Gendel previously served as national sales manager for the Motorhome Group and earlier held the position of general manager for Entegra Coach’s luxury diesel motorhome business.
The appointment gives Gendel responsibility for the motorhome group as Jayco continues to develop its leadership structure across its towable and motorized RV businesses.
Mary Nally Named Vice President of Finance
Mary Nally has been promoted to vice president of finance, replacing Mike Ritchie.
Ritchie has moved into a new role as chief financial officer for THOR Industries’ North American RV operations following the company’s broader organizational changes.
Nally’s promotion adds another internal leadership transition to Jayco’s finance organization.
Devon Miller Promoted to Chief Operating Officer
Jayco has also promoted Devon Miller to chief operating officer.
Miller most recently served as Jayco’s vice president of operations and has been with the company for more than 40 years.
His extensive experience within Jayco gives the company a long-tenured executive in a key operational position as the organization moves through its latest leadership transition.
Part of a Broader THOR Industries Reorganization
The Jayco promotions follow a series of leadership changes announced by THOR Industries earlier in September.
THOR has been moving toward a more coordinated structure for its North American RV operations. Ken Walters was named president of North American RV operations, while other Jayco executives, including Mike Ritchie and Trey Miller, moved into leadership positions within the broader THOR organization.
The company has said the organizational changes are intended to increase coordination among its North American RV businesses while addressing operating costs and affordability challenges facing the RV industry.
For Jayco, the latest promotions largely place experienced internal executives into the company’s key leadership positions.
What the Changes Mean for Jayco
The latest appointments represent more than a series of individual promotions. They are part of a larger leadership transition taking place across one of the RV industry’s major manufacturers.
With Martin moving into the president and CEO role, Eash taking over sales leadership, Gendel heading the Motorhome Group, Nally overseeing finance and Miller moving into the COO position, Jayco is relying heavily on executives with existing experience inside the organization.
Jayco has continued to operate its family of brands, which includes Jayco, Entegra Coach, Heartland RV and Open Range RV, producing towable and motorized RVs at facilities in Indiana and Idaho.
The company was founded in 1968 and remains headquartered in Middlebury, Indiana. Jayco’s official media resources also provide journalists with company information, photography, video and other brand assets.
The Bottom Line
The leadership changes give Jayco a new executive team at a time when THOR Industries is reshaping how its North American RV operations are organized.
For RV dealers and industry observers, the coming months will provide a clearer picture of how the new leadership structure affects Jayco’s sales organization, motorhome operations and broader relationship with THOR’s North American RV business.
